Barnstormers Comedy

Barnstormers Comedy returns once more to the delightful surrounds of the Capitol Studio. Now in its umpteenth season, Barnstormers Comedy has been enlivening Sunday evenings in Horsham with top quality stand-up performances since 2004; many a comedy star having graced the stage in that time. As usual, regular MC and compere Kevin Precious will be on hand to act as the freewheeling glue that holds everything together. All in all, fantastic way to round off the weekend.

SEPTEMBER LINE-UP CONFIRMED:

Danny Ward

Since November 2008 Danny Ward has been travelling Great Britain, often in his T reg Polo, sometimes on the coach, entertaining audiences with his unique style of observational humour.
A self proclaimed tataholic, Danny Ward is on a mission to spread the lesson he refuses to learn – when you try and do things on the cheap, it ends up costing you more.  With a delivery that is up-beat and well honed, his easy-going style is both endearing and very funny.

He has gigged extensively across the UK including comedy venues such as The Glee Clubs, Jongleurs, The Highlight, Just The Tonic, Baby Blue, Komedia, the Bearcat and Downstairs At The Kings Head.
He has also performed in Northern Ireland at the Belfast Empire, as well as in Germany, Tenerife, Maastricht and Croatia.

Danny was a finalist in the Amused Moose New Act Competition in 2009 and for the last three years has hosted many of the London heats of So You Think You’re Funny , as well as the Reading New Act Competition Finals in 2009 and 2010.

Edinburgh:   In 2010 he performed “Danny Ward + 1” as part of the PBH Free Fringe to critical acclaim:  “If there is better stand up elsewhere for free then I want to know about it, because it really would have to be world class to top this show” (Three Weeks, 4 stars, Edinburgh Festival Aug 2010)

In 2011 he starred in the prestigious Bound & Gagged produced AAA Late Show in the Pleasance Courtyard.  He will return to the Edinburgh Festival in 2013 with his hotly anticipated debut solo show.

Will Hannigan

Will Hannigan toured Canada for nearly a decade, appeared at the Just For Laughs NorthWest Festival, Grindstone Comedy Festival, won YEG’s Funniest Person and then disappeared to London, UK. You can follow him on Youtube and Instagram @willyhannigan.

Your children may recognize him from the BAFTA award winning* comedy-drama The Revenge Files of Alistair Fury, Your Grand/parents could remember him from the OAP cult hit comedy Waking Ned (Devine – US, AUS). You yourself might have seen him About Adam, briefly in Gangs of New York, or possibly one Christmas over the years in the Father Ted Xmas special. Maybe you spotted him performing his stand up on BBC, ITV, Channel 4, or RTE (Just for Laughs), or during the last two series of The Comedy Store on Comedy Central (formerly Paramount). If not you’ll soon have further chances when Perriers Bounty is released later this year, or in Round Ireland with a Fridge next.
