Rangatainment presents Comedy at The Capitol

Rangatainment Comedy is proud to present Comedy at The Capitol

WITH TOM DAVIS, KATE LUCAS, ADAM BEARDSMORE & HOSTED BY JOSH JAMES!

Headlining the show is the mighty Big Tom D! We look forward to welcoming Tom Davis to The Capitol who will be trying out his brand new material!

Tom is best known for hit shows King Gary, The Curse, Live at the Apollo and Murder in Successville, as well as his hugely popular podcast Wolf and Owl with Romesh Ranganathan, which has received critical acclaim and sold out live shows. Tom is also known for his stand out performance in Wonka and multiple appearances on A League of Their Own, The Ranganation, Judge Romesh, and Action Team.

Tom has returned to his stand-up roots and can be seen performing up and down the country to sell-out audiences on his long-anticipated debut stand-up tour Underdog. Tom’s show was recorded at the iconic Kings Theatre in Portsmouth, as a co-production between Off The Kerb Productions and Mighty Pebble Pictures for release on Sky as part of their newly announced comedy slate. Murder in Successville has been added to Netflix’s UK catalogue and is available to stream now.

Opening the show is award winning musical comedian Kate Lucas! Kate is known for her razor sharp and deliciously dark songs. She combines catchy melodies with original lyrics to showcase her playfully bitter musings on life. Audiences have come to expect examples of what not to say and how not to behave from this gloriously talented young comic.

In 2014 she took home the title for the prestigious Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year and her performances since have been met with huge critical acclaim. Lucas has since gone on to build a seriously impressive reputation on the circuit, storming it every weekend to packed out crowds at the country’s most famous comedy venues including The Glee Clubs, The Comedy Café and Up the Creek. In 2016 her debut show Whatever Happened to Kate Lucas? was met with huge critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. With this kind of phenomenal track record, this very special rising star is most definitely one to watch.

With Adam Beardsmore! Adam is a West Midlands comic gigging up and down the UK. He has performed on Radio 4 Extra as part of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2018 & 2019 as well as being nominated for Birmingham Breaking Talent Awards. Originally hailing from Staffordshire, he made his stand-up debut in 2017 after a friend signed him up for an open mic night, and has since taken part in the BBC New Comedy Award 2018.

Hosted by Essex Comedian of the Year Josh James!
