Rangatainment Comedy is proud to present Comedy at The Capitol
WITH DOMINIC HOLLAND, JOSH BAULF, JIN HAO LI & HOSTED BY ROSS MCGRANE!
Headlining the show is the brilliant Dominic Holland! With countless television and radio credits, including multiple appearances on Have I Got New For You and The Royal Variety Performance, as well as The News Quiz, Dominic has written and performed four BBC Radio 4 series including the The Small World of Dominic Holland which won a Comic Heritage Award. Perrier Best Newcomer and Award Nominee, Dominic has performed seven solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival, most recently in 2018 and he continues to tour the UK and beyond with his unique take on life. Described by The Sunday Times as ‘the UK’s master of observational comedy‘ and by The Daily Telegraph as ‘a top notch stand-up who everyone should see.’
Despite Dominic’s best efforts and his considerable achievements in show business, the cruel reality is that he has been severely out-starred by his eldest son, Tom. Tom Holland is better known as Peter Parker and even better known as Marvel’s Spider-Man. Dominic accounts for his son’s meteoric and ‘overnight’ success as a fluke in his hilarious book, Eclipsed which is available in hard and digital formats. Dominic has written for The Guardian, The Daily Mail, Mail-on-Sunday, The Independent, The Sun, Daily Mirror and a raft of trade journals.
Opening the show is viral comedy sensation Josh Baulf! King Gong victor at The Comedy Store, finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award and Amused Moose New Comedy Award in record time. Crowned Get Up Stand Up 2019 Winner, Leicester Square New Comedian 2020 Runner Up, and acclaimed for his online sketches raking in millions of global views. From Britain’s Got Talent and the BBC to sharing laughter at the London Palladium, Josh’s star is rising high. As David Walliams says, “A very funny man with a huge future,” and Chortle notes his likeness to Micky Flanagan and Russell Howard.
With Jin Hao Li! Made in China and marinated in Singapore, Jin Hao is an excellent writer and performer. Loved and feared for his dry wit, gritty softness, and surreal energy, he quickly became a Chortle Student Finalist, BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist, and was accepted into the Pleasance Comedy Reserve. This August, he’s taking his debut hour ‘Swimming in a Submarine’ to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Hosted by one of the best MCs in the country and Radio Essex presenter Ross McGrane!
