Rangatainment Comedy Presents Comedy at The Capitol

Details Information

Shaparak Khorsandi established herself as one of the UK’s finest comedians with her sell-out Edinburgh show, Asylum Speaker. Despite the basis for the show being her experiences as a child refugee fleeing Iran and terrorists attempting to murder her father, Shappi’s sensitive yet witty exploration of these events created an instant comedy smash hit.

Shappi’s career has taken her to all corners of the globe. She has appeared on countless TV & Radio shows, including: Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here, Mock The Week, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, MasterChef, Have I Got News For You, QI, Pointless Celebrities, Question Time and Just a Minute, as well as her own show, Shappi Talk.

With the hilarious Stephen Carlin opening! Stephen is a hilarious Scottish comedian who has
received great critical acclaim, accolades and a growing fanbase with his original and insightful
writing style and accomplished delivery. He is a very enigmatic act, using a unique pattern of
delivery to amuse the audience with very unexpected and off the wall references.
From his sartorial elegance to his in-depth and hilarious knowledge of International snooker,
Carlin’s performance takes the audience into the mind of a passionate obsessive. This man is well on his way to becoming Scotland’s newest addition to its history of brilliant comedians. All skillfully delivered in his deadpan Scottish brogue.

Stephen has supported Tom Stade, Stewart Lee, Stephen Merchant and Felix Dexter on their
national tours. He also starred on Stewart Lee’s The Alternative Comedy Experience on Comedy Central.

With up-and-coming comedy star Arielle Souma, 2021 Leicester Comedy Award nominee!

Hosted by the brilliant Jeremy O’Donnell!
